I think this method goes for gender roles, sex, and soo many other issues women, teens and all people face in our society. "This avoidance of glossies is hardly a proactive way to remedy the situation that exists." Exactly.. we cant avoid it. Thats unrealistic and probably not healthy either.. giving children (and adults) both sides of the spectrum and allowing them to identify and understand each is a good idea. Denial doesnt fix the problem.LanieChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12263491732211693133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4285168458292387011.post-7495722093082987682011-03-25T21:53:40.020-04:002011-03-25T21:53:40.020-04:00I think as a society, we get information from sour...I think as a society, we get information from sources that just encourage us and make us think we need to attain perfection. It is inevitable and the sources that are actually trying to say the opposite - that we are perfectly fine the way we are without having to buy into the impossible expectations are not as popular.Jay Wenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05371233453265802618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4285168458292387011.post-26786541223295670352011-03-20T10:47:50.877-04:002011-03-20T10:47:50.877-04:00We were being brainwashed since we were young. If we can not change the industries, then it’s better to have gender education at a young age.YanHua Lihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16139781433047228858noreply@blogger.com
